i am just switching to a new ecu, cause mine was "bad", and it was'nt controlling the ac compresser for some weird reason.
so, i got a new one, from ebay.com, and its good condition, and i just need some info on what i have to do to switch them?
i know where it is, and that it is attached with a couple of wire clips, but just wanted the "exact" correct instructions to do this, (just being cautious)
any instructions would be cool, i would appreciate it - Jon

2) remove ecu cover (4 10mm nuts)
3) pull ecu from mounting studs
4) disconnect large white plug and two smaller black ones (they may be a little stuck so work them out gently)
5) installation is the oppostie of removal, just be sure to not mix up the location of the plugs and rmemeber to re-connect the battery.

thanks for the instructions, i knew it was easy, i just wanted to make sure i did'nt leave anything out.
by the way, just because the ecu i got was a modded one from locash racing, and it has a 8200 redline, that does'nt mean i can go past the stock redline? does it? i mean i would ruin my engine, right?
i think the 8200 redline on the chip, is only for people with a performance cam, or cam gear with timing advanced.
can i go any higher than stock rpm with this chipped ecu? or not?

The ecu will physically allow the car to rev that high but your valvetrain is going to not like it. You will float a valve and basically destroy the head in the process if you take it that high. The ecu sounds like it was designed for a high power cam andupgraded valvetrain. I would stick to the stock redlinea s being the farthest point I would ever rev it to.
