Extra wire from stereo harness?

Default Extra wire from stereo harness?

Well all of my stereo is hooked up and from the harness there is one wire left over its a red/black wire.... I checked this wire for power and it only get power when i turn the lights on.... What I am trying to figure out where this red wire goes?

dimmer, would go to an orange wire if your radio has it.

it goes 12 volt when your parking lights come on.

not all radios support this, if yours doesnt, just tape it off.

Well im actually having trouble with my instrument lights, they wont come on nor the lights on my climate control... could this wire have anything to do with that or does anyone have any idea at where i should look for this problem

You probably let that red/black wire ground out in the process of all of this.
I'd bet you just popped a fuse.

actually i had it taped off already and i was reading up on instrument lights which main is a red/black wire
