Default How much to shorten linkages with hasport mounts?

Hey, I have a hydro gsr tranny in my car along with hasport mounts. Also have linkages from a 94+ b-series but I was wondering if anyone knows how much to shorten the linkages?

The reason I am asking is because the guy who is doing it for me already has the linkages, but doesn't have enough room in his garage to bring my car in and test it out by cutting/welding, etc. Any help would be great.

Another reason why I'm asking is because I have hasport linkages, and it's impossible for me to shift into 2nd at the track. Every run I made, I missed 2nd, let someone else drive it and same thing. So I want to cut/weld my stock linkage...

If there is a problem with the Hasport linkage, send it in to be checked out and repaired if needed, that way you'll know if its a problem with the linkage, or the transmission..

It is a problem with the linkage. I had my buddies linkages on for about 2-3 months, he finally got his setup running and therefore I had to give his linkages back and install my hasports. and ever since, these hasports have sucked. so hard to hit 2nd

I had problems with my hasport linkages. The car would never go into 4th gear on the track. I put oem linkages in, worked great

Well, the reason I put that I have hasport mounts is because place racing mounts and other mounts such as HCP place the engine in a different position. So I put hasport mounts to know exactly the length to shorten the linkages.

All I'm saying is that if there is a problem, send them in, they will be taken care of. You'll know if it is the linkage once they are off, if the u-joint is really sloppy, that would probably cause your problem. Hey, while they're off, measure them too, that will answer both questions!
