a whole lotta elbow grease, patience, & different grades of sandpaper... 2 of the rims were painted black on top of the original silver color and one of them had a huge curb mark that required a whole lot of sanding to make it disappear. but all in all you just gotta be patient to do something like that, just like any other projects.
