Default Possible to make stock HU sound good?

I will be purchasing a new Civic soon and it's the Malaysian model.
The stock sound system comes integrated with the dashboard so unless someone comes up with a bracket there is no way to change the HU out.

I currently have a set of MB Quart QM218.6, DLS 6x9 and a PPI PCX4125 amp.

Shops have told me to add a "Hi to Low" converter since the stock HU has diff voltage?

And they say the speakers will never sound as they are suppose to be.

Is there no way to go around it?

They already make a dash kit for the newer civics. Here's one I found on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2006-H...wItem

I know Metra also makes one, it replaces your dash and you need to take off your heating/ac controls and put it on the new dash.

why not get a factory kit from honda? they should have a right hand drive dash kit for the navi units. might have to get some abs plastic to fill the gaps but it should work.

However we have done more then a few Civics with the JL Audio CleanSweep unit, from basic systems to full on ground ponders, and they sound very good.

We have also used them on BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, among others, with great results. 94

Looks like i am stuck with the JL cleansweep. But from the reviews i've seen there are quite good.

Honda Malaysia sucks, and NO ONE knows crap in the service dept.
I called in and asked for a part number for the factory kit and no one knows anything about them.

Can anyone recommend me a reputable site to purchase audio stuff online?
I have some relatives in NorCal and might ask them to bring it back when they come for holiday.
