can you use an ecu from a regular honda civic with mpfi? or does it have to be from a 88-91 si crx or a 88-89 teg like the effin mpfi guide states? please help, there is a 90 civic that i can get one from at the junk yard.
p.s i ment mpfi question.. my bad.
edit: can i use a mpfi harness in my dx sense i plan on going to a b16a later down the road? its a lot cheaper for the vtec subharness than to have rywire make me a dx-b16 harness.
so basically, can i use the mpfi harness when i do the dpfi-mpfi swap, along with the ecu from the mpfi civic

Preferably you will want the ECU out of the 88-91 Civic/CRX Si with preference going to the 90/91 as they are chippable. You could go with another OBD-0 MPFI ECU but the maps will be improper(er) for your setup, and I being a fan of efficiency and doing things right says screw that
Also, you can just convert your stock harness to MPFI, it's a great learning experience and once you get that under your belt the wiring for a B16 (OBD-0) of course will come easy as pie.
