89 EF sedan suspension upgrades?
Just wondering what is a good brand to go with for shocks and springs to lower the car 1.5 to 2 inches. Already have Tokico Blues with H&R springs but they arent lowering springs, just replacements. So Im lookin to replace these with something of better quality and get the drop as well (must fit 205/55/15's). Would like to keep around $500 or less Car is 89 sedan
Why do you have 205/55s? That's such an odd size for our generation. I'm a fan of any springs made by Eibach, so if you grab their Sport-Kit it's relatively affordable and will give you the drop you want. I don't know about affordable shocks as I went straight for Koni Yellows on my LX.
Well I currently bought a set of GSR Hammers with 195's on them and the tires are about shot. I was told that 205 was about the widest you could go without having rubbing problems. Could replace with 195's but just figured wider is better. Is that going to be a problem?
i think he meant that the '55' is the odd ball sidewall size. the most popular size 15 for our car is the 205/50/15.
my sedan has a set of GSR fat fives as well and looks good with the tokico springs "1.5/illuminas.
