Hit a pothole tonight. It was bad enough to have messed up my tire and wheel. Does anyone know if insurance will cover this?

 

Well, I'm assuming it's different for each state. But in my state we can make a claim either with the State or County -- this is dependent on whom the road "belongs" to. I would go via that route before making a claim with your own insurance.

in nc this is pretty much a long road to nowhere......they only way that you will see money is if there is proof of a prior complaint and the hole was not fixed in a reasonable time period

 

My insurance covered damage from a pothole I hit. It would not hurt to ask.
