I went to honda and looked up where all my battery cables are supposed to be run, power and ground. So I hooked them all up where they need to go. However, when I connect the power cable to the battery, then I try to do the same with the ground, and it archs (sparks) BAD! However, if I disconnect the cable that runs from the wiring harness to the fuse box (shown below), I am able to connect the cables to the battery no problem. I have no idea why. What do you guys think? I'm really stumped once again, since I'm not the greatest with wiring and that's where most of my problems arise from.

where is that big red one going?

 

that's part of the grounding kit. i believe it went straight to the ground on the battery. i pulled the grounding kit off because that's what was causing the problem.
