Default Falken Azeni Question

OK, my Yokohoma A032Rs are almost toast, and I need a new set of tires. I am happy with them, but the the Falkens are much cheaper. Can you guys help me decide which ones I should get by answering the following:

1. Are we talking about the Falken Azeni Sport? Here's a direct link: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/dt...odeIndex=28640

2. At $70 each, they are very cheap. How long do they last as a track only set? My Advans lasted 6 track days.

3. How is wet weather traction? The Advans aren't great, but they're quite good for an R compound tire.

I am already running S03s for the street, so I need to decide for track tires. Your input is much appreciated.

One thing you'll want to keep in mind is that the treadwear number for the 032R is 60, vs. 200 for the Azenis.

So, the Azenis will last longer, but ....

The Falken will last longer - but keep in mind, even though the Azenis is very sticky it is not an R compund tire, so if you are looking for the same level of performance you may be disappointed...

yeah what they said

I went from daily driving on AO32R to Azenis and am happy as can be. The Azenis are not as sticky, but off the track it is hard to push the Azenis beyond the limits. I havent gotten a chance to track the Azenis yet, and I may not just because I know they will be slower that the AO32R and the cornering/braking on AO32R is just incredible
You seem to be looking at them for a track only tire? I would go with V700 before I went down to an Azenis... V700 is cheaper than AO32R but just as sticky as AO32R.

Yes, the RE010s chunk big time, I have no plans to go back to them. They were OK when I had them. I guess I'll stick with the same combo as you Steve.
