Hmm. I lost a few pounds of cast iron, various useless tubing and solenoids and engine bay clutter, and the potential for the damn thing to clog or stick open or otherwise malfunction and throw a light or cause the engine to run poorly. The car passes emissions just fine too (chipped and *tuned* P28).

Well it does save minimal space and weight...but not much. I thought it kept intake air temps down by blocking it off ?

If you keep the exhaust from entering the manifold, yes. Removing the EGR will not reduce the manifold/air temp.

its not "riggin ISH" thats how the one your buying was made...only difference was theres a machine holding the cutter and not a hand.

well put, though sheet metal wont work if youre planning to completely take the valve off, you could drill through a 1/4" thick aluminum slab and make a plate pretty easily though....
an easier way to do this is next time you have the head off (if you ever do), tap and plug the egr port....then just plug the hole that feeds the runners on the IM....
not that it matters to most of you users, but we do have a "where can i get this thread"....which is to be used for this kinda crap...but its ok, we here in the prelude forum have gotten used to rookies who lack the abilities to READ THE RULES, READ THE FAQ, and least important of all SEARCH.....
