Auto-Manual Swaps

how much money would i expect to pay to have my 1996 accord EX auto converted to a 5 speed manul transmission?

did you have it done? if so, is that including all the parts, or just labor?

$2800 seems a little high.

I would say closer to $2,500 w/ new clutch, labor, tranny, and 5sp parts. It all depends on labor rates and what you can get a tranny for.

I suggest a H23 92-96 prelude Si tranny.

my parts were $900 including a new clutch

labor would be well under $1000, closer to $500

Actually labor is closer to $1,000. An auto-manual swap with a motor swap runs about an extra $400 in labor.

i've seen quotes of 400-500 not near 1,000

but still...should DIY anyway
