WTF do I do now w/ a chipped p28???
Ok, Thanks to all who posted on my previous question about hard wiring the third wire for knock sensor.
So now so I understand everything I buy a chipped p28 w/ the b16a2 fuel map, and thats it and its just plug and play??
Also do I use a d16z6 engine harness or can I use my Jdm b16a2 engine harness??
Because What I originally did was I swapped the floorboard harness to the jdm one as well and left the engine harness to a jdm one. But woah was that a pain in the ***, cause some of my usdm switches like my passenger door and power mirrors and other stuff didnt match up w/ the jdm connectors. So the circuits weren't being completed so I said forget the jdm harness now im converting it back to usdm because i orginally did all that just for that third wire on the knock sensor, which was NOT WORTH IT!!!!
So now which engine harness do I need and how do I get the p28 chipped to my needs???
Is this the guy to contact??? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBD1-...spagenameZWDVW)

I've never heard of JDM ecu have having different connectors than USDM, unless it is a different OBD# (obd0,obd1,obd2a,obd2b). If it is a defferent type, all you need is a conversion harness (~$60-100). From here on out, all you need to do is plug the p28 in (if the JDM harness is 92-95), or get a conversion harness for the obd1 ecu to whatever year your jdm harness is. Honestly, you did a shitload of work for basicly nothing.
No the ecu does not have different connectors but the knock sensor for the jdm is 3 pin so I have to hard wire in the third wire but instead I was told I'm better of getting a chipped p28. Right now I have a jdm p30. Both are OBD1. I now know I wasted my time, doing work on the car I am just undoing now. My car was a 93 civic ex coupe and I put in a 93 jdm si motor. But my whole problem its not working right is electrical!!!!!!!!! When I was talking about jdm connectors not lining up with usdm ones I was referring to like the wiper switchs the door connector and other various buttons like the power mirror switches. Like now If I say I want to turn left it instead says its a right and mist does wipers and wipers do mist almost everything is backwards. SO NOW REALIZING I can't use the jdm floorboard harness cause I would have to switch all the connectors to jdm as well which would cost too much, I am putting a usdm floorboard harness back in and so do I use the jdm engine harness or do I need a d16z6 engine harness?? and the other question about the ecu. How do I get chipped to my needs??
