changed out speedo and odo ( swap faceplates ) EK!
i just traded my lovely EG for an EK (i will miss her a lot)
BUT
the Si cluster was already in there, and i also got an EX and a CX cluster. i moved the speedo internals (with odo and tripmeter) from one cluster to the other (EX had accurate miles, Si not accurate miles) and after i did it, i powered the key to on, then put the needle on a little behind but had it rest on the pin. my simple question is, i didn't do anything wrong regarding to messing with the faceplate right? it seems accurate but i have no correct gauge as to how fast i'm going, perhaps i should find one of those MPH radar built into crossing signs and drive by a few times lol
i just wanted to know if what i did was the right process (taking off the needle) or was there another way to retain accuracy and not damage the speedo?
