i did a search and came up empty handed. My problem is my front right parking light doesn't turn on. I thought the bulb was bad but it works when i used my right turn signal. I also noticed that my dome light only works on constant mode. It won't turn on if i put it on the setting where u open ur door. As far as the domelights are concerned.. i know the doorpins work. I installed my alarm and it works a charm. I checked all of the fuses under the hood and under the dash. I'm thinking it has something to do with a relay. Thx for the help in advanced.

check the connections in the terminals, sometimes they get rusty and don't allow current to flow through, you can just use some fine sand paper and get the rust off, if you have a DMM you can check the connections when power is on, so you can know for sure

 

As far as the parking light is concerned, did you replace the bulb? Since it is a dual filament bulb, your turn signal can work just fine, while your running light won't. Also, I had the same problem wereas the last time it happened, the wiring came loose (the red/black wire to the parking lamp) so that my turn signal worked, but my parking lamp didn't.

As far as your second question goes, do you have an aftermarket radio? If so, then this would be why your domelight won't come on unless you physically turn it on.

ok, the after market radio i do have. but this is very weird. see i wouldn't have thought that since i'm an installer at circuit city and have never had a problem with a domelight before. unless they were on the same circuit and a fuse blew. could ya tell me why the domelight wouldn't work with an after market radio? i never hooked up illumination. might that be it? doubt it. i'm puzzled now

 

The illumination would have nothing to do with that. I have no electrical experience whatsoever, yet I was able to hook up my oil pressure sensor (and lighting), my fog lights, and fix my running light among other things). The reason that the dome light will not work is the fact that in that year Civic (there are others as well, but I don't know which), the keyless entry as well as the domelight were wired through the radio. Why, I have no clue, but this is just how it is.
