UPDATE!!!! The car is running!!











As some of you may remember, my EM1 was stolen a while back. It sucked, but I'm over it, and after driving a stock 97 Audi A4 2.8Q 5spd (slooooooooooooow ) for a while, I decided it was time to get back to my roots. So I traded the Audi to my sister for her 00 Civic EX coupe, which is auto, but really clean. Soon after, I realized that I would rather have a hatch, so I started looking, and was fortunate enough to find the perfect upgrade!

Its not quite done, but its getting dangerously close...

So here it is, a little sneak peak, only because I can't keep my mouth shut any longer!

The magical mess from which the car has seemingly emerged...

If everything else goes according to plan, we should have it all up and running right after I return from warm and sunny Mexico on Oct 2nd...

Then comes paint for the sideskirts, CTR rear lip/wing/mirrors and rear bumper... Then you can expect some REAL pictures...

A big thank you to Tuan and Boun. Without you, this car would'nt exist.

Yea, for now I am just going to have the new parts matched, eventually the car will be seeing a re-spray, probably a slightly deeper silver with a blue-ish flake...

I am toying with the idea of having a paint shop do the wheels gunmetal and keep the polished lip, opinions?

Really? Huh, to each his own I suppose... I'll be keeping the ITRs, but mostly for winter use. *gasp* This car is a D.D...

 

I like the Volks the way they are.

yea, unforunately there are not a ton of us HT guys in Portland, but I've been talking about a meet for quite some time now... MAYBE IF HT HAD REGIONAL DISCUSSION FORUMS IT WOULD HELP...
