Default 05 Accord DX - Brakes

The brakes on my 05 Accord DX (10,000) are very sensitive - especially in the morning. At slow speeds it is very difficult to stop smoothly...the brakes seem to grab. Any suggestions??

My 2005 Accord VP (11,000 mi) does the same thing. I thought it was normal.

At first, I thought it was normal, but it is very difficult to make a smooth stop when braking at slow speed. It is much worse first thing in the morning. This is my 3rd Accord - the brakes on the other 2 were fine. I've never experienced such sensitive brakes on ANY car.....

I asked the dealer to test drive - they thought it was normal?????

Normal for THAT CAR maybe...

Our '03 Accord is the same way. It annoys me but my daughter likes it. Since she primarily drives that car, I suppose it's OK. I've been over the brakes & don't find anything WRONG exactly. I think they're just way over-boosted as a fake way of making the brakes feel more powerful.

Our '98 Accord & all the others are more 'normal'.

honda has a bullliten for this. you need to have the pads replaced and the brake rotors machined. That will fix the problem.

Thanks -

I called Honda (again) and they said there is no Service Bulletin and they have no other complaints. They told me all new cars are like this - which is crazy...

Do you have the TSB # or any other info?

I appreciate your help.

Ya there is a service bulletin in Canada for this. On my sister 2003 Accord the stock set of pad's were real grabby and made alot of brake dust. But the new updated pads they sell now are a harder compound which also make alot less dust. Personally I like the feel of the softer compound pad.

Thanks - Still having problems finding the TSB I need. I just called Honda HQ - a case worker will call within 2 days. We'll see what happens.
