Default Advice on buying new civic

A buddy of mine is looking to pick up an EF civic sedan for a daily driver.
What do you guys think of this:
$1800
89 Civic LX 5 speed sedan
White (recently repainted)
clean title
38k mile on new motor
power windows, locks, a/c
body in excellent shape

That **** is so clean. If you painted the moldings black and added sidemarkers and some bronze rims , I would ejaculate everywhere.

I think that would be a good car. Maybe some tint, newer oem rims, and a nice CD player would be a good basic start for a daily d.

It is his choice though; if he likes it, he should go for it.

yeah, if the moldings were black I think it would be cleaner but hes a poor college student so I think the car would stay the way it is. If anything I might give him my gsr fat fives but that would be the most that would be done.

Looks like a good deal, but since it was repainted, you'll want to check the body over really well and make sure it's not a bondo/rust festival under that pretty paint.
