Timming BElt Walking off gears !!!
I installed the manual tensioner conversion and i did it exactly. After starting the engine while running i was looking at the timing belt and i noticed that the belt is slowing coming off the gears and i dont know why. Any ideas please let me know.
How far is it coming off? Mine stays at about 1/8-1/4 inch over the edge and it's been fine like that for a couple years now.

Mine stays on perfectly now! Actually stays back about .03 - .04 on the gear, no overhang at all.

If it walks off you more than likely forgot to install the large washer that goes against the block and shaft that holds the tensioner pulleys.
