well i finished my msf course today. i'm very happy that i took this course before i go and buy a motorcycle. before saturday i'd never sat on a bike. i started out pretty wobbly but i got the feel after a few exercises. everything went well except the figure 8 box. i could do the left turn pretty easy but the right always spooked me halfway through. next thing is to go to take the written test and get my liceense endorsed, then gear and then i'll probably be lookin at a kawi 250. this is the most fun i've had in awhile!

 

RE: figure 8 drill....I've found it's easier to complete a low speed turn by turning my head all the way to the side I want to turn to and actually try to look "behind" myself as I turn. This keeps you focused on where you want to go and keeps your turning radius tight.
