The best and probably the easiest way would be to hook it back up in the car. You could also get yourself a plug that goes into the radio, and hook up the constant and accesory wires to +12v and ground the ground. But that would most likely be more work (finding the plug) and more expensive (paying for it).
The red post on your battery. AKA the positive on your battery. should work just fine. Unless you have and extra wire harness (the thing that plugs into the radio) it will be easiest to plug it back into your car, and eject them.

Ok, here goes. Get the cd player in question and look at the back of it. There is a 16 pin connector in the middle, you had to unhook it to remove the unit from your dash. On it are two rows of pins, one on top, the other on the bottom. The top has 8 pins in a 4-4 configuration, the bottom also has 8 pins in a 3-2-3 config. Imagine the top set of pins are numbered 1 through 8 numerically. Hook the 5th pin to the positive side of your battery. The ground (negative post on battery) will be hooked to a pin on the bottom row, on number 14. Imagine the bottom row is labeled 9 to 16 numerically.
A. I found all of this info in the Service Manual, so it's correct.
B. I hope you have your 5 digit security code to input when the unit is powered up. If not, you have to go to the dealer to get it.
:EDIT: Here's an illustration for ya:
