I'm running Tein Basics on my car and I'm pretty impressed. I would not recommend them for someone with a setup like mine but daily driving their perfect. Dampen harsh roads well, reduce body roll, can lower the car drastically and still ride well. I would say they are the perfect upgrade for anybody switching to a full coilover from springs.
If I were to do it again I would definately purchase the SS's, so I could adjust dampening. But for a reliable, soft ride, their a perfect coilover.
Also, purchase an Ingalls camber kit F/R. Some people will tell you not to buy the front but my camber was off up front.

i have tein basics and like everyone says they are great for a daily driver. good drop, nice ride, handles great. but if I could i would have goten tein ss and if i could afford them i would have gotten tein flex. but that was way out of the question for me.

perfect for daily driving, tried them on some other cars and my friend's RSX and prelude...
Wish they could adjust some damping though.
Overall, Tein lives by their name

why do you all like basics??? They have no dampener adjusters, so you cant fine tune it for stiffness or softness. And no, basics DO NOT have pillowball upper mounts. only super streets, type flex, etc have them

o yea.. we like basic because maybe some of us don't need the function to adjust damper...maybe we just want something with height adjustibility. geezz.

That is true, pillowball mount will make a lot of noise after a period and then will make me keep thinking something wrong with the suspension, so I only use stock upper mount with my Tein N1 too.
