Default Manual Transmission Discontinued?

I was just informed by my dealer that Honda has stopped making the Fit with a manual transmission. Can this be true? I was on the wait list for a manual for three months...now I'm not sure whether to order the automatic or switch to a Scion Xa...

Thanks for the input. It sounded insane to me, so I guess it's on to a new dealer.

BS... the dealership you are waiting at just wasnt allocated the car. I had one of my customers who waited 4 months almost before I got the manual transmission in. Also I have a manual thats being built right now. so its not discontinued.

You are very correct in assuming your dealer is wrong and is lying to you to make a sale.

If possible walk in and tell em you can write a check right now for $X amount and you'll be suprised how fast they can come up with a car.

dont dealers want you to finance the car though? cuz they make money of your loan also. i think if honda discontinued the m/t there would be something straight from honda about it, because that kinda a big thing.

The Honda finance company would make money and the dealer probably would get a small commission for the referall but I doubt it's much of a money maker for them. Revenue trumps all in business so if the dealer can get their accounts credited sooner and the car off their lot they'd be happy.

Don't listen to the lyin' dealers, they just want to sell you the slusher, get your money, and move on with life.

Have a manual that's supposed to be here in early November - time will tell. Ordered early September.
