Ok, here's the thing... I know Mugen has the front bumper, side skirts and wing for the 4gen Prelude. Never ever seen or heard of a Mugen rearlip, so I think it's a fake.



But the point is, this car was the first 4gen Prelude sold in Europe, it's also one of the three preludes used for type approval over here. It was loaded with stuff, also came with the authentic Mugen coil-overs with the Soft-Medium-Hard ***** in the interior. So there might be a possibility that the rearlip can be the real deal. I think it doesn't match the style of the front and sides of the Mugen kit, but who can tell me more?

Anyhow, it's a shame it's on the scrap right now... it's totalled.

p.s. I didn't see the lip for myself but found it on a local forum. So I couldn't look on the inside off the lip for markings.

 

Mugen doesn't make crap and that looks like a piece of crap.

 

mugen did make a bunch of custom preludes back in the day, factory mod kinda thing....not sure if that happened over in europe too....but i know they did in japan....

or that the exhaust cut outs are on both sides?
lip would go good with the spoon style front, both flare out, dunno what you would do for sides though...

hehe that Lude isn't really in the neighbourhood... I'm from the Netherlands and the car is situated in Belgium, so the parts aren't nearby.

well it has places for duals which makes me think its not really ment for that car.

Did anyone else notice the rear bumper sensors? I just recently found out the 1991 JDM prelude had an option for this and auto wipers.

The Mugen Springs would be worth something and the spoon lip would be perfect for that rear one. Side skirts would need to be custom to meet up with the front and back to carry the same shape down the side.

I'm still looking for the rear window and wiper to finish off the RHD conversion.

Mugen wouldn't make a lip for dual exhaust on a car that didn't come with dual exhaust.

The rear bumper sensors were an JDM option, but as far as I know it came with a total of 4 sensors, two for the front bumper corners and two for the rear bumper corners... this looks more like aftermarket, looking at the position of the sensors. But I don't know for sure. And I have no idea if the car has the auto wiper option.

About the Mugen springs, the car crashed with the front left side against a pole... and the left front spring is damaged, it has a bend at the top. I asked around and most people told me it can't be fixed properly. The 3 remaining Mugen springs are still in good shape/function and all electronics are included as far as I know. I doubt that someone can find a loose Mugen front spring for the 4gen

It's also clear that the rearlip is fake, not that I wanted it or something, I was just curious because someone kept saying it was real and I didn't believe him.

As far as the rear fog lights, maybe I can take a look at the local cardumps overhere and see if there are any 4gen Preludes with the fog/switch still on it. The complete rear window and wiper are kinda big/heave I think, but every Lude over here has it.

Well, I checked out jdmshit.com to see if that lip was available, but I couldn't find it anywhere. It does appear to be installed on the same prelude that their new polyurathane spoon style lip is on...

That lip looks good! I think that rear lip with the jdmshit front lip looks clean! Now someone has to come out with subtle side skirts that are a little bigger than those in the pics; side skirts that are even with the front and rear lips.
