do you have the manual there is a maintenance guide in there according to mileage/months I would just follow that.
as far as getting the light off there is a button up underneath the dash on the right hand side of the steering wheel just push it in.

dang i dont have the manual guide book.......but wats the main thing you mainteince on....new spark plugs, oil change, etc etc

You can buy a new owner's manual here, or a used one on eBay. If you want to do the work yourself, you will need to get a service manual, which you can get from the same place. Both manuals show the recommended maintenance schedule.

WTF? Don't waste your money. The "maintenance required light" comes on ~7500 miles since the previous time it was reset.
But if you work on your own car, the <100 bucks the service manual costs will be money well spent.
