How or can you install tweeters for EX onto DX and LX models? 96-98

 

yes , you just buy the sail panels with the oem tweeters in them. then just swap the sail panels with yours and wire them up. honda also offer a cut in kit, where you cut the door panel and install them. these are for cars that have the adjustment levers in the sail panels for the mirrors. if it were me though i would remove the adjustment levers and get the sail panels with tweeters. looks cleaner imo, and you can adjust the mirrors by hand. unless you get aftermarket tweeters then you can put them where ever you like.

you can, but you need to pay attention to impedance on the tweets and door speakers.

your cd player handles 4 ohms per channel, if you wire in 4 ohm tweets to 4 ohm speakers then you are pulling 2 ohms. (in parallel)

that doubles the power output from the cd player, but risks detroying it.

you can wire them in series to create an 8 ohm load, but thats cutting power outut in half.

i would get a set of components, a woofer and tweet set, together they are gonna most likely create a 4 ohm load.
