painting over a clear coat-stupid?
I just ambered my corners with the Krlyon Stained Glass stuff, and I almost ran out, so i cleared one and began to spray the other.
Now I'm going to try to get another can of Stained Glass and make them more amber by puttin on more coats, but one problem-i've already clear coated them.
I used krylon acrylic clear coat(only one they had). Is it okay to spray more coats of paint over a clear coat?
-thanks

Not what he freakin asked ...
I'm pretty sure when you read the back of the krylon bottle is says dont clear it.
( I hoped you painted the inside of the lense and not the outside)

Paint isn't going to adhere to clearcoat if that answers your question. Try spraying a coat and see what happens.
it'll stick if you spray enough coats. ive done it before, it won't be perfect but then im guessing if you wanted it that way you would of just bought the amber corners. it will probably rub off after a while but hopefully by then you can save the 12 dollars to buy them or you could buy mine for 8 bucks shipped

i'll eventually buy the ambers, i just wanted to try it out. Doesn't the clear coat, provide protection for the corners at all from rubbing off?

thanks for your worthless insight, dont bother posting next time.
if u want it to stick properly, strip the clearcoat, and the paint off, and redo it with the right amount this time.
i painted over clearcoat once, and it looked alright for about a month or two, and then it started chipping off.
