hey guys,
i have a civic its a d15z6 vtec sohc, basically its not sounding very healthy, sounds like its misfiring, sounds like an impreza with out the power, it doesnt rev more than 2000rpm. Sounds veryy ruff and like s---t. Ive had it looked and have been told it could be a fews things, could be dizzy needs replacing, could be cam timing due to timing belt slipping, or could be the inlet is blocked? basically its smoking from the exhaust, and the inlet is not sucking are in as it should but instead it blows air out? CAN ANY ONE HELP? OR HAS ANY ONE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM?

wow bro, you have alot of **** wrong huh? lol.
I'd say start with checking out the Intake manifold if its not sucking in any air.
Then check your timing. and check out the dist. too.

 

do a compression test if its blowing air out the inlet you could have an inlet valve burnt out

 

sounds like cat is clogged if you have one or maybe distributer is on it's way out due to the redline of 2000 rpm
