so i believe the original itr tranny has short gears correct?

well i was wondering, for the b18c5 gods

1. where does vtec kick in on your engines
and
2. what rpm are you at when cruising at 80mph

from the top of the forum i have answered the vtec question for myself

vtec kicks in @ 5100 rpm on a stock itr motor

but this leaves....

what rpm are you guys cruising at in 5th gear while doing 80mph?

Are you using the same size tyres as an ITR?

yeah same size tires

 

iirc from yesterday 80mph was around 4.5k rpms for me...

That is incorrect. It is 5700.

is that on the stock usdm tranny? thanks for the info regardless
