Default 00 B16 Stock Block, Which cams to chose from.. thanks

*Choose* Screwed up in the title.

I've searched, but really did not pin point the information that i wanted to find. I am going to purchase supertech VS/Retainers next sat for a decent price for my B16. I am planning to keep the block stock and just build the head.

My choices on the cams were s2s2, or blox type b's. Do you think the choice of the cams are practical with stock block? If you guys think other wise let me know. If you guys post a type a cam, what other cams does it compare to, and the info on it.

This is not going to be my permanete set up, It's more of a street set up to get me around since i have a H22 that I am working on on the side. So if someone chime in and help me out thanks TIA

Though some people will disagree, most will tell you that you don't have enough compression on a stock b16 to run the S2S2 or BloxB. They usually like 11.5 or so. For stock compression you'd be better off with a S2S1 or what I would definitly recommend, the BC3+.

S2S2 are too much. BC3 or S2S1 are ur best bet. I personally run s2s1 & love them in my b16.

I personally tuned a stock block B16 with I/H/E and BC3 cams. Then the customer installed some Skunk Stage 2's and picked up 8 hp peak and had nice gains everywhere above 6,000 rpm.

in for more. I found a set of s2s2 for 400 Brand new. and its pretty local. How much do bc3's go for? As for bc3's they are a similar comparasion cam to s2s1?
