Default Final Drive swap...Possible? and How Hard?

I don't really want to get into my reasonings for why, but I do have them....

Is it possible to swap the final drive from a CRX SI transmission into a CRX HF transmission? If it is possible, what all is involved in this swap? This info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

cheaper/easier just to buy a DX tranny.

Reshimming the shafts when swapping is NOT fun.

D tranny guru, email if help needed.

mista bone, can you expand more on the reshimming the shafts? specifically what shafts you mean (counter and main?).

each mainshaft is machined eveer so slightly different, just like the carnk in your motor. You have to check/change the shims to get proper clearances.

HELMS is a must have!

seems like it would be a bit of a hassle...but thanks for the replies. I guess I'll just go with the DX/SI tranny then. Thanks again.
