Default Best Cams for an all motor street setup?

I have had a set of CTR's, Toda Spec C's and now have some S2 Stage 3's in my hands and wondered what's the best people are running out there right now. I am building a b20 vtec with 11.5 compression looking for about 225 whp on a daily. I have been in cars with BC'4s too and they felt pretty good. Just wondering if I should get rid of these skunk's thanks

The Skunk 3's are a good cam. Idle is good and they make good top end power. I am partial to Toda C's myself.

I think the C's are gonna produce more torque, if I had both I think I would go with the C's also.

That's what I thought too, but those stage 3's look so much more beafy than the toda's. I think people like the toda's because of the brand. I only have some ITR cams and those skunk's right now. I am wondering which will be better for the setup. Will I have enough compression for these stage 3's? going 84.5mm with 11.5 wiseco pistons and b16a ported head with flat rev valves. Looking for 11.8-12.0 compression on pump. Can some one help me out or post a setup like this thanks

I am running Blox Competition HSL's with the bigger primaries and i have no idle issues what so ever. FYI they are slightly bigger than skunk2 s3's and they pull alll the way to 9+. ha ha ask Todd^ he's tuned my car everytime i've gone

The Blox HSL's and the S2S3's have been degreed and are the same cam. The Toda C's have larger primaries than the S2S3, the S2S3 having a larger vtec lobe.

What your cam timing setup for a good idle and do you have any issues with losing vacum for the brakes?

Also I would like to discuss what is the service intervals for
- timing belt
- valve seats
- valve guides

Cam timing on my Toda C's is +5.5 +3.5.
New timing belt every 60,000 miles whether it needs it or not.
Valve seats and guides do not really have a service interval.
No issues with vacuum, brakes.

I personally like my skunk2 pro1's they idle nice when tuned and I made 155 tq on a stock bore ls/vtec with them. Oh yeah and 11.5 compression as well.

I have noticed that those Toda C's there wasn't as a drastic change in profile as the stage 3's. You could here Vtec come on, but wasn't like some JUN cams I have heard. I am going to stay with the stage 3's for now and just build up the motor and see where it's at. Just looking for like 225 not nothing huge.

if you got them already try each pair out and decide which you like best...not sure if mixing and matching cams will work in your favor or not,but if you have access to a dyno, it couldnt hurt to try different combos

jun3s (tried and proven over and over) blox2s (almost the same exact profile but wayyy cheaper) SKUNK3/ blox HSL same cam (one of don Fs favorites) toda.. great midrange todds favorite.......skunk pro cams ( overkill on alot of setups)
buddyclubs ( ihave no idea i dont use them) ferrea roller rocker cams ( simply evil )

I wish I had an extra set of M22's laying around that I could send to Chris and have him test them. I would love to see em in a healthy motor that had Blox B's in it
