I have a 91 civic the originally had a 4 speed manual it was swapped out to a si tranny by th last owner. now it the car is in reverse ad you turn it off with the clutch down, it will not turn off. It stays on and run until you remove it from reverse or remove the clutch. What could be wrong?

 

has anyone hear of these or ran into this before

 

reverse sensor on top of tranny its easy to change if i remember correctly it has 2 bullet style connectors one green and one black just disconnect those and use a 19mm size wrench to remove the sensor from the tranny.

 

why do you turn it off in reverse?

 

it just happened one and I check it out and found out these problem. it was like an accidental thing
