Just went out for a quick 20 minute ride around the neighborhood. I love riding when the sun is pretty low in the sky. These days, it's about 6pm. There's enough light to see, but isn't oppressively hot, and once you get through the residential parts and the "friday afternoon get me the expletive home" traffic, it's nice and quiet on the backroads of hacienda heights. Made it halfway up to turnbull canyon before i turned around and headed home due to light and time constraints.

I know alot of people like early morning riding in the twisties--i haven't had the chance to get up early enough to make it up there when it's not totally burnt

when do u guys like to ride?

 

early AM specially weekends. coz the crazy Cagers are still asleep. ohh but that doesnt mean im safe. There was a lady that almost run me over. she was drunk; on anti depressant meds. and i actually parked at a nearby school so she dont run me over, she followed me the whole time got out of her car coz she thought I was her biker boyfriend. lol. she said she was about to kill him (me) luckyly God saved me that morning this is 5am on a sunday.

 

in the afternoon when its not scorching hot and the traffic dies down . also for me, my favorite days of the week to ride are tuesdays and sundays.

 

i like to ride after work through the week, and early morning till whenever on weekends when im on long journeys looking for new places to ride.

 

I used to ride on weekends before 7am....6am when the sun was out early enough. It's nice to get it all done in the morning, then enjoy the rest of the day with the wifey.

 

i enjoy riding around 10a.m. and at around 4p.m.

me 2. but also a big fan of night crusing.

 

Weeknights int he summer 6pm-9pm, still light out. Weekends there is always too much traffic, but useually we go down to the city on saturday 10pm-2am

 

Anytime but at night.

No kidding. My head must have been at the black fly/gnat altituude level the other evening because I was going through a constant cloud of them for a good mile.
