Default Honda accord

93, accord EX, 160K, automatic

Hi all,
if my car sits idle especially in the morning for over 2 minutes, it starts to studder. It chocks and it would not take any gas.
Also, If i run the engine for about 2 minutes with rmp at 3000, the same thing happens.
Any idea guys.
Thank you all and have a nice weekend.
Joe

I only ran the car at 3k rpm ONCE.
it was only because it is a part of the trouble shooting process. The trouble shooting manual calls for it.
Thanks

When was the last time the plugs were changed?
From your description of the car runs at idle for a few minutes then stalls??
Could be a bad IAC valve letting thru too much air, or a major vacum leak.
I'd run that engine at 3000 RPM all day with out worry!!

intresting my car just started doing something like that like a week ago. All i did is retightend the throttle. Last time I had that issue is when I had a vacuum leak trew the stock intake system. I would rev it to 2.5 sometimes 3.9 rpms and hold it for 20 seconds. The let go it will stuble to 550 rpm, then go back to 700 after 5 seconds.

If your like me I come to any stop sign or stop light it will stuble to 400 rpm then go back up after 7 seconds after the sound of a click noise(like ac clutch) but no ac on tho.

Spray some carberator cleaner on the hoses. When the leak sucks up the cleaner, it will expose it self. good luck
