Default Rider down on 110 freeway

Motorcyclist n/b on 110 sideswiped by truck Wednesday afternoon, 2:30pm. Truck did not stop. Five cars stopped to assist fallen rider until Fire, Police, and Ambulance units arrived. No one was able to identify the truck.

Motocyclist suffered scratches and a broken clavicle. Motorcycle itself suffered scratches.

Thank God for gear and for the five people who stopped for me.

Doubt the truck driver will ever show. They probably didn't even know they bumped me.

Right now I'm not sure about riding on the streets in the future. We'll see. This one shook me up good, and SuMo is just tons more fun lately.

Damn dude, that sucks. Any description of the truck? It was a minor bump from the truck, so not too much damage?

Glad you're okay. I know how a broken clavical feels like. Not too much fun.

oh **** herb.

glad to hear you're ok, esp the way people drive on the 110--i don't know what's worse: being injured, or that someone didn't even realize that they almost killed you.

That's crazy mang. Good to hear you survived with relatively minor injuries. Wish you a quick recovery.

Thanks guys!

The bike is scratched on the right side, where it already had some character marks. I had a few friction burns, but the clavicle is what really hurts.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the plate of the truck. All I noticed was that it was a gray Tacoma crew cab.

As for details, here is what I remeber...I was in the #3 lane, heading towards the 101/10 interchange from the 110. When I merged into the #2 lane (the one to my right), I sped up. The lane was clear and I wasn't lane-sharing anymore at this point. The truck had been in front of me before I changed lanes, then when I moved forward, it moved into my lane, knocking me down. All of this was about 25-30 mph.

Thanks everyone!

No pics this time...except for when it's time to part out the Superhawk (still on the fence about that). Besides, I'm sure you don't want to look at my x-rays.

except for that one pic that Ick has of me...

damn sux man. Ever since I've been thinking about getting a bike, I've been more careful for Bikes. Wish the government can make drivers more aware of these problems.
