Default 3" drop

what the heck kind of problems would be caused if a 95 accord was dropped on some coilovers? is it even a streetable car and what kind of suspension things would i have to look for? has anyone even attempted this? the wheels will be stock ones also.

CAMBER KIT!!!!!!!!!! that will be most important and then after about two bumps you will need new struts...get KYB and an Ingalls camber kit...and you should be fine...good luck

Um yeah, anything is possible. You will need a camber kit.

With just coilovers and stock struts, the ride will be bouncy(especially with that much of a drop) you will need struts designed for lowered vehicles. I recommend KYB AGX adjustable. The wheels will butterfly(more in the front) so a camber kit for the front and rear will be needed. And probably strut tower bars for front and back. I wouldn't recommend that much of a drop.

does anyone have a pic of a 3" drop? how long do u think realistically it can go with stock struts. They are like R1 coilovers.

stocks wont last long with a two inch drop, youll prolly blow them with 3. Your car needs suspension travel, and a 3" drop gets you minimal, if any travel = BAD.

you could probably drop 1 to 1.5 and save the struts but ride would be bumpy as hell. why are u slammin it??? i would recomened 1.5" drop looks pretty good

ive got close to 3inches. not sure what exactly its at though... i just played around with it and went with what handled the best. although, the handling came as a result of the camber, not the drastic drop.

Thats lowered almost 4" on 18s. Thats an old pic, the car looks different now, with a 500hp turbo H22 block being built for it, it currently has a mid 200whp turbo h22 to "hold him over" Expensive project

You will need a camber kit for the front and I believe you can adjust the rear camber with washers. Then get it aligned or you will chew up tires quick. Don't be afraid to lower your car as low as you want.Mine is very low and wow my stuts are still fine.Yes it is a little bouncy(oh no!). If you want a factory comfort ride ,then don't lower it that much. Do what YOU like on your car. I don't ride on bumpstops either!

What springs lower 4"? And why did you buy springs just to cut them? You could have cut the stock springs. Do you have any pics? It must look like a lowrider. How do you drive anywhere? You must bottom out on everything. With a drop like that why didnt you just get an air suspension? You could raise it up to avoid scraping on everything.

i dont think that would be able to drive around, at all. it would just be stuck on the ground in the spot where he dropped it down from the jack.

I assure you that I do plenty of driving around.Yes, it does bottom out and scrape quite frequently.I still do make it over speedbumps. I just have to go at an angle to get over them. I will post pics soon. I didn't go the airbag route because it was too expensive and too much extra weight. They were Matrix adjustable coilovers that had a 2-4 " drop. I believe now they only offer them up to 3". I have steel plates welded to the bottom of my car so when it scrapes they wear down. Then I can just replace them. Other peoples door handles are usually above my windowline.
It's not for everyone.

gennady most of us with lowered rides have to do this, depending ont he severity of the speed bump, most speed bumps are plain cruel suv's would scrape
