Default My Oxygen Sensor & Vtec

I have a jdm h22a. My timing belt broke, I bent some valves. Honda put on new timing belt, water pump, tensioner and valves. My car doesn't quite drive the same, it's very sluggish at around 2-3k rpms AND what's really weird is that VTEC hits too early now. It hits at 5,000rpm, instead of 5,200. It's throwing a CEL #1, which is the oxygen sensor (primary) correct? Do these symptoms describe a faulty oxygen sensor?

Ok, can VTEC be affected like this if my o2 sensor is bad? My ECU is obviously trying to compensate for something.

yeah an oxygen sensor is the most common reason for an engine to stumble randomly...and since youre throwing that code, take it back to honda. its easy to test and shouldnt cost that much (wait nevermind, its a honda dealer)

It's just weird that VTEC is engaging earlier than normal. The wiring to the silenoid looks right, but the mechanic did say he tends to set the valves on the looser side.
