ZC crank question..
Well I need help again, so I figured I would ask the experts
. I just found out I need a new crankshaft for my DOHC ZC,and my question is, is the d16 crank the same as the DOHC ZC, if it is what d16 motor will it have to be out of, 88-91 civic SI, or a newer civic. Thanks alot for the help.

well the sohc zc and dohc cranks can be interchange so you might be able to do it. I heard that all d16 cranks are interchangeable (not confirmed) so if all cranks for the d16 sohc motor are interchangeable, then you should be able to use an a6 crank. if you take both cranks to a machine shop, they will be able to tell you. post what you find out

depends on the year of your ZC engine - 88 and some 89s had a crankshaft with the smaller front snout - if you have 88 ZC or 89 with smaller front snout, you need 88 CRX Si D16A6 crankshaft (some 89 Si also had smaller front snout) or Integra D16A1 crankshaft with the same size snout as your ZC - if the engine is 90-91 with the larger front snout, you can use any 90 and up D16 crankshaft
