Default Problems Reinstalling D16A6

Hey guys, i just pulled my 400k A6 in favour of a rebuilt A6 with a cam.
Pulling the motor wasnt a problem at all, but now im starting to lose it
For two days now we just can not get this freakin motor in...we tilt the motor pretty far down on the left side, trying to get the trans mount in first, and NOTHING wants to align....does ANYONE have any tips or advice on getting this bitch back in???
Thanks!

Try doing it without the front mount on or the rear bracket on.

Drop the trans side in first and put the bolt in.

Then you can lower the drivers side in and bolt it up.

Then put the front and rear brackets on.

Well I do it differently, which is lower the car onto the motor and use the drivers side bracket to pull the motor into that mount, then wiggle the passenger side, then front and rear. There is a mini-write up around here somewhere that I made...

Going from the bottom works good too, I just have access to a lift so it's easier for me to do it that way. Good luck.
