my car is failing emissions, i noticed there is a hole in my catalytic convert. at first i thought it was for an o2 sensor but i was wrong. i think my car may be failing for this reason. can i plug this hole with something?what should i do?

 

Get a new catalytic converter, Hole = Bad.

 

its built that way. its the stock cat off the car...it looks like it's for an o2 sensor but i don't know why there would be an o2 in my cat

where else would it be? go to http://www.verociousmotorsports.com and get an o2 bung plug and put that in there.

 

AIR injection pipe maybe???

Or is an actual hole in the wall of the converter?

 

Sometime there are small holes to help drain condensation but not any larger than an eraser head.
