Default Clutch On Verge Of Dying?

This might sound like a dumb question but something wrong with my car. Whenever I shift and find a friction point, if I give it too much gas (which really isn't much in this case) i hear a grinding sound (almost like gears grinding), is my clutch about to go is someting else wrong?? Thanks for the help.

im not an expert or anything but i've driven on clutches that were almost dead. in fact now the clutchmasters stage 3 in my crx is almost completely gone. basically when you shift and give it gas it'll slip..its very obvious. the rpm's will rise and the car won't go anywhere. it will take a few seconds for it to engage. with the crx i was at the point where from a stop, in 1st, i would start up and it would take 10-15 seconds for the clutch to actually engage. so basically i would be sitting there with the car barely moving and the clutch not engaging..and then about 10 seconds afterwards it would finally engage and i could go. if i give the car any more than 25% throttle it'll slip even when im not engaging the clutch. i can be driving along in any given gear, press the gas, and the tach needle would just shoot up and the car doesn't go anywhere. that's a slipping clutch.

Your clutch disc is probably going to go bye bye pretty soon. The hubs loosen and the springs are liable to pop out of the disc
