does anyone know the healthy idle rev should be for a h22? I had adjusted mine to 900-1000 rpm because sometimes the rpm falls all the way down and stalls when I go to neutral; while driving. does anyone have this problem too?
sometimes when driving, i step a little of gas more than normal to accellerate faster but it doesn't go as fast as before. i had this car for 4 yrs and it just started doing this. i've replaced the fuel filter but i think it only helped a little bit. i'm guessing it's the EGR or loss of compression. any suggestions?

the idle is supposed to be 750rpm +/- 50....so somewhere between 700 and 800
personally i have my car idle at about 950 because my motor mounts are stiff and it shakes less there, no real harm done
the acceleration thing could be a few things, though i would start with a bottle of fuel injection cleaner, I would use STP brand.....
if that doesn't do it, clean out your throttle body and IACV well (the IACV could be part of the stalling problem) and then pop the egr off and clean it too....

well I always add a bottle of fuel injecter cleaner about once every 10,000 miles avg. but about the throttle body, do i just clean it w/ carb cleaner? and where is the IAVC located and how do you clean it? What does it stand for? thanx a lot.
i agree with the fuel injector cleaner, but I would reccommend Red Line Synthetic Fuel System Cleaner. Stp is
in my opinion. Mgags7 if you haven't tried this stuff give it a go, you'll switch over too. You can dump a whole bottle to clean everything up, and then you can use a little bit when you fill up your tank to keep things clean.
