I heard that the Canadian CRXs are a little different than the US. Some of the DXs in Canada don't have the load detector, but all the material I've read shows that all the US DXs have the load detector.
To fix the load detector you have to replace it (assuming it isn't something little like a cut wire or something). Just replace the underhood fusebox with one from an Si and you should be fine.
