Default What motors will work aside from stock?

I have a 90 crx hf (D15B6) w/ 220K which is nearing the end of its life. I was wondering what SOHC motors would fit/work without having to get new knuckles for the axles, new engine harness, etc. If I wanted to swap a D16Y8 or D16Z6 in there, what would my shopping list look like?

Thanks!

It's just old and tired. It's going to need a new tb/wp and all that jazz soon and I'm thinking of just swapping a jdm engine in there since I have friends that work at an engine importing place. I don't want to have to get new knuckles so I'm just asking which engines will swap in and work with relatively small upgrades....it's my beater mind you. I know some of you OG's have this info off the top of your heads.

yo, there is a good motor and that doesnt cost much and have good power. its dual cam ZC JDM. bolts right into your car. same mounts, tranny, clutch, mpfi wiring is the same. so all you need is the ecu. the motor runs about 600 avg. but i found mine 450 at Gspeed.com. also mine passed smog even thought it wasn't usdm. they don't even notice.

Will the DOHC ZC swap require me to remove my A/C? I love my A/C.

I would reccomend either a SOHC or DOHC ZC motor. You can keep you stock tranny, axles, brakes, AC, mounts, rad. hoses, vac. lines (some may ned plugging.)

All that is needed is slight wiring changes. (search for "mpfi swap")

I did a SOHC ZC swap and it was literally the 1st thing i've ever done to cars other than oil changes. Just do ur research, and check my project thread if ur so inclined, I did extensive coverage of the swap.

I have an HF and I believe my wiring is already MPFI, can someone confirm this?

yup hf is mpfi. id go with a sohc zc and a si tranny your axels will work, they have the same inners but smaller outers(and bars). later on you might want to upgrade your axels hub and breaks, would be better to do it all at the same time
