How many quarts of oil does your si take??????
Nice signature.
Honestly, I would follow the manual. They put that information in there for a reason. However, I really wouldn't think you need to put more than 5 quarts in.

The manual says 4.6 and it's that way cause they use liters overseas so they just converted it. But i also had to put in like almost 5.5 quarts. I dunno whats up with that.

To bring it up to the top line? More than the Ep but both are 2.0 engines.

That wouldn't make it higher. If u put oil in it and then run it, it will drop cause the filter gets filled up and some of the oil is sitting in the engine. If u put in 4.6 quarts like the manual says it will be a lil over the bottom dot and the when u start it, it goes below the dot. About another quart later and it's at the top dot.

Okay .... are you trying to tell me something I dont know? Never said it would yield a higher reading. Just sharing how I do mine, which is what I find most effective.
I changed oil every single day at Honda for a while, so I'm fairly aware as of how to go about doing an oil change correctly. thanks for the "info" tho.
