Default What are the Type-S's running?

I was at my local track this weekend and there was one RSX type S running mid 15's and another stock one running 14.2's consistant. His buddy with the a stock ITR was running low 14.1's , 14.2's, a stock S2000 running high 13.8's, etc.. I thought that one RSX was damn fast and yes it is stock (it is lowered). How do you guys compare?

I just found out about this thread. I was the Type R who pulled a 14.1. There was a little tailwind that day which explains why I beat my usual 14.3 times. After the wind died down, I was back to 14.3s and my buddy with the RSX was doing 14.3s, 14.2s.

All I have to say is anyone who can't do less than 14.5 in their Type S can't drive. And I also would like to say you don't know anything if you're saying this is B.S.

Both cars (mine and his) are lowered with AEM cold air intakes. That's all. No slicks, no cams, no NOS.

Sometimes people's lack of knowlege is really annoying. By the way my website organized this whole event so no, I'm not some yuppie who knows nothing.

You will find there is a great lack of knowledge among certain groups here. You will find that they also defend this lack of knowledge with great conviction. In any event, those are awesome times, I'm impressed, seriously.

Good numbers hard to believe all the RSX's(type s) over in Jersey can't even hit a 15 flat.

For the itr's and rsx's that ran low 14's, what did your 60', 330', and trap speed look like?

some tracks are just faster than others. (when will people realize this?)

well up top the guy was stating that they mad those runs stock...you yourself just said that you have it lowered and a CAI...if you would have said that, it sounds a little more believable to me...i made a 14.6 pass with just a CAI not lowered...and thats here in texas where its always hot and muggy...i believe i can hit a 14.5 maybe even a 14.4 at best...that was only the second time i took this car to the track...but my actual set up has changed and i haven't been back to the track since...my car is now lowered about 2 inches i have a short shifter and an exhaust...now the knowledge part you might want to clear up, i'm not sure if it was referring to me, but i'm no nooB...all in all good runs...

The kit is directly from Acura.

My 60ft time on the 14.1 was 2.300 and the trap speed was 97.9mph. It's true that some tracks are just faster. I think we just have a fast track up here.

the kit does not come stock on the car...you have to order it from acura...not worth it if you ask me...but to each his own...

Check out the Erebuni (sp?) kit. I was looking at it last week sometime on their site. It looks EXACTLY like the kit from Acura, but it's urethane instead of fiberglass, and the msrp was $600 or something like that...whatever the price was it was way cheaper than the Acura kit and you get the stronger, longer lasting urethane parts...

You know its bad to have Integra owners hatin but RSX owners hatin whats that all about. Those numbers are believable the intake adds about 15 to the wheels first of all second some tracks are faster, some cars come a little faster from the factory etc. etc. etc.. Bottom line he ran what he ran if you cant do it too bad keep practicing. As for the driver I was just curious how you launched cause I cant launch for my life. If I could launch better on these crappy *** tires I feel id pull at least a 14.5.

Well,..I'm amazed @ the times,..We must have a real shitty track cuz the first and only time I ran,.I ran a 15.3 @ 93.(TYPE-S stock)
I'm sure they can run those times,I'm not dissin..Motor trend ran it @ a 14.8 @ 94mph,..so yeah,..its possible!
What are your trap speeds again,..and what RPM are you launching @??Feathering,.or not,...hook me up,.I can drive ok but look @ this time I ran once in my GSR w/ JRSC and an AEM short Intake----> 15.1 @ 98mph.(I had little Civic rims on my car when I ran.Got a shitty start but still hit 98 in the 1/4hahahahah).thats sounds like a low 13 time from looking at the speeds of those(STOCk?) Type-R's were runninat your track or any track.
Well,..Thats awesome.

GREAT TIMES GUYS!!!

a 2.3 60' is normal
97mph says you have the same hp as an R
low 14's tells that u get traction and a good driver.

but i dont' understand how u can get those numbers when your car is 2700lbs

and for the stock type s running those #'s..i believe it..everything is a factor when ur running on the track..when u can PROVE those #'s wrong..then talk..but dont come on the forum and diss the type s when u have no back up for it..

I don't want to make any comment on the time, but i think it is believeable with a very good driver, stronge motor and a fast strip.

I just want to point out that intake NEVER adds 15whp, and whoever said it will is just idiot.
