OK so i currently own a 90 civic dx and blew the headgasket not to long ago, has a pretty good body for its age and 9.5/10 interior ... i just purchased a 91 crx si with a zc motor. the interior is stripped and i mean stripped no cluster rear pannels climate control nothing just one seat and steering wheel ... now for the dilemma i want the crx because of the sunroof and it being stick im willing to restore the rex and do the body work myself but on the other hand everyone else is telling me i should just swap the motor and tranny into the civic (which is the wiser choice i guess) ... i also have to remember this rex is gonna need to be saftyed so it wont be easy for body work itself BUT ITS A REX and id choose a rex over the civic anyday what should i doooo

Haven't you made up your mind already? Keep the ZC in the stripped CRX, boost it and have a nice little go-kart! Restoring all the interior (which sounds like your intention) will be an absolute pain in the *** unless you have all the original parts, down to the nuts & bolts. And I know you're new here, but try to make your posts more descriptive, i.e. do you have an interior laying around? Does the ZC run well? Welcome and good luck.

 

finding all the correct interior for the crx might get pricey. swap the motor keep the crx shell and maybe you'll find a smashed crx in the future with all the parts, by then you might want a different swap, and you can always sell the civic to pay for a b16 swap in the crx.
