What you drove before your F series Civics... and why you chose the model you did.
I drove a 1984 Chevrolet Camaro. I still love Camaros, but I like older models, the newer ones do not work for me. I still to this day want a 1989 IROC-Z 5.7L... sexy car.
Anyways, mine was a beater, still had some torque left in her but she had to go. After looking at many vehicles, the Civic SI won. I looked at Pontiac G6, Solstice, VW GTI (which lost early on because I hate VW... sorry excuse for engineering...) and a few others.
I knew I needed something with some power because I couldnt see myself going from a v8 to a 4cylinder if it wasnt going to have a kick. (While VW and the G6s had V6 motors, they failed for other reasons) Anyways, a past admiration of my friends 2000 SI sparked my interest in this new coupe model, because as I mention, i hate 99.9% of all hatchback cars. (cept the new Type-R in europe, but thats another topic) So I researched the hell out of the new SI... eventually finally finding one on a lot to look at (but no test drive....
) it was a base everything fiji blue SI... it looked good but I didnt want a fiji, and originally I wanted navi. I cranked it up, i liked it... I revved it up to about 3500... love at first rev. From that moment on, it was a hunt for my car. I looked everywhere, many dealers would have the car I wanted, then hours later sell it. I finally goto a dealer who is supposed to have mine, and they sell it while I am DRIVING to go get it, but wait... they inform me that they have another one off the lot right now... "its still at the Ft. Worth Auto Show... let me see if we can sell it."
Shortly after I was the owner of the car and went that afternoon to the auto show to check out my new baby....
I drove a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V with the entire Nismo catalogue installed on the car. I'm talking I/H/E/Cams/Coil Overs/Sway bars/Tie bar and much, much more. The car was a great car as it handled great, but the motor never ran right and Nissan refused to help with it. The car always ran on 3 cylinders even though the cam install was done perfectly, compression test was perfect, spark plugs were perfect, etc. Since Nissan never helped I told them to screw off and traded it in on a new Si and I could not be happier with the decision. I love the car to death and so far it's given me 10,000 miles of smiles and not pure headache like the Spec V did.
2003 Lancer Evolution VIII.
Soo many reasons... i wouldn't go back if you paid me! IMO, the Si is 10x the car the Evo was.

My second 97 type R got stolen last Oct. 10th or so, with all the good parts (except the motor) from my wrecked first 97 R.
Needed a car ... and wasn't sure what would fit the bill after those two, without costing almost twice as much as the new Si.
Finally bought and took delivery of mine just before Christmas last year w/o even a test drive or color choice.
Still pretty much happy I did!
As much as I'd like the Greddy turbo kit for the 06 Si (mostly for some 6th gear flexibility), I've decided to leave it alone for a while and direct my efforts to reviving my old 85 CRX Si.

02 Civic coupe LX. Had fun driving this car. I bought it cause this is what I could afford and I wanted a car that lasts. The only down side was that it was auto. I started to really enjoy learning about car tuning and upgrading parts to add more performance. Added SRI and it sounded good and had a little more pep. Decided not to put any money into it. In addition, the engine didn't and wasn't going to have the power that I wanted.
Bought the new Si to put the money into. Still got 9500 for the traded LX. I want to have a daily driver that is enjoyable to drive and will last for as long as I want. No future goals yet, but I will keep increasing the HP slightly and upgrading the suspension. Maybe after I learn more and have a good foundation of information, I will add a good turbo. However, I want to have all the necessary engine upgrades in so I do not blow the motor.

I traded in my 2005 Civic for the 2006 Civic Si because I just didn't like quite a few things about it. The roll was horrible, the interior was rattling and popping out in certain places, etc...etc...etc. Basically just small problems and wanting a more responsive car drove me to the Si. Also my girlfriend bitching about how her 1995 Civic LX was better than my 2005 Civic LX didn't help.
I'm so very happy with the Si, but so are other people in my area trying to break into it.

I loved the Camry, had the greatest memories in it.
The TL was a fast but HUGE car. I got a job an hour away from me so the gas was killer hence why the 2006 Honda Civic EX Coupe was introduced into my life and I'm loving it.

92 Integra...everything you can possibly do to it was done. I crashed it 2 days before I was gonna tune it on C16 @ 32psi.
Now I have the FG2, and chose it b/c its by far the best bang for the buck and not to mention I love hondas. But for a 200hp k-series motor, 17" wheels, decent stereo, great all around car who could pass it up?? Not me!

2002 svt focus. it was an extremely fun car too drive. fast, handled, tunable but lacked in the reliability and daily driver qualities. i picked the 2006 civic lx becuase for $16,000 it was better than a scion xa/xb but cheaper than a scion tc. so better bang for the buck. but i got a m/t just so there be little fun factor in driving it.
Ok, this is a challange since I have been driving for over 30 years.

1987 Buick Century v6 wagon - blue with wood-panel sides
1997 Ford Escort LX Sport - tan
Got my civic because I needed a reliable car with good gas mileage to drive back and forth to work. My commute is 50+ miles per day and usually involves a pretty good amount of stop-and-go bumper to bumper traffic. I chose sedan because I prefer four doors, auto because of all the time I spend in traffic jams, and EX because it's got all the goodies
