ok i took out the key cylinder and try to put it back on but it won't go back in. i'm replacing the key cylinder for someone and i took it out with no problem and tried to put a used one that is good in but it won't go in i tried to push the pin down but it won't go in. any advice??? i need to get this car running

i think i read something about keeping the key in while you do it... ?

i did but you know what the kid i was trying to help turn the key too far and now it won't go back to its position. is there anyway of making it come loose?
